Freshwater Aquarium Fish

When talking about pets in home, the list is incomplete without fish. Freshwater aquarium fish has also become an essential member of the family like dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets. There are many species that are available to add to the beauty of your aquarium. An aquarium can also be a way to decorate the home. These types are divided into two groups - live bearers and egg layers. Live bearers are associated with the group known as cyprinodonts and give birth to the young ones instead of laying eggs. Some of the live bearing fish are guppies, four-eyed fish, mollies, platies-moonfish and swordtail fish. The fish belonging to the egg-laying category are neon tetra and goldfish. They lay eggs after fertilization by the male fish.
