Seafood Lasagna Recipe

You can make a large variety of dishes with the seafood including fish, prawns, shellfish, and lobsters. Lasagna noodles are a type of Italian noodles, which can be used in a variety of dishes. A unique combination of seafood and lasagna noodles can satisfy the taste buds of those who love seafood as well as Italian dishes. These seafood lasagna dishes are perfect for the family treats or weekend parties. So let's have a look on some delightful seafood lasagna recipes.

Recipe 1

Ingredients
1 pack of lasagna noodles
lb flounder fillets, rinsed, patted dry and cut into inch cubes
lb bay scallops, rinsed and patted dry
lb medium raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
1 tbsp margarine or butter
1 package cream cheese, cut into inch pieces, softened
2 tsp dried basil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp black pepper
tsp salt
2 tbsp margarine or butter
1/3 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Preparation
Cook lasagna noodles as per directions on the package and drain. Melt margarine over medium heat in a large skillet. Cook chopped onions in melted margarine until it becomes tender with frequent stirring. Then add cottage cheese, cream cheese, salt, basil and pepper. Mix it well. Then add egg and keep it aside. Add together milk, soup and garlic in a large bowl and mix it well. Then add fish fillets, shrimp, scallops and wine. Preheat the oven to 350F. Place the layers of noodles in the preheated, greased pan. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Place again the layer of noodles over cheese mixture and top with half of seafood mixture. Repeat the layers in a same way. Sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Bake it for about 45 minutes, until it gets bubbly. Allow it to stand for about 10 minutes before cutting.

Recipe 2

Ingredients
1 package frozen, peeled, deveined shrimp
1 package frozen fish fillets
6 package dry lasagna noodles
1 cup dry white wine or water
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cups ricotta cheese or cream-style cottage cheese, drained
2 green onions, sliced
cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 package sliced mozzarella cheese
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 tsp chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried basil, crushed
3 tbsp margarine or butter
1 1/3 cup milk
tsp ground white pepper
cup sour cream
Salt to taste

Preparation
Rinse frozen shrimp and fish. Bring wine or water to boiling in a large skillet. Add frozen fish to it and cook for about 4 minutes. Then add frozen shrimp and cook for 2-4 minutes more, until shrimp turn pink and fish flakes easily with a fork. Discard the cooking liquid. Cut fish into bit-size pieces. Chop shrimp coarsely. Keep it aside.

Meanwhile cook lasagna noodles according to directions on the pack. Drain it, rinse with cold water and drain again. Now let's make the sauce. Combine together ricotta or cottage cheese, egg, basil and half of the Parmesan cheese in a small mixing bowl. Set the filling aside. To prepare a sauce, cook green onions and mushrooms in butter in a medium saucepan. Cook until they become tender. Add flour, pepper and salt and stir well. Then add all milk. Cook with a continuous stirring, until it becomes bubbly and thick. Remove it from heat. Then add about 1 cup of hot mixture into the sour cream. Return all the sour cream mixture to the saucepan. Then add shrimp and fish into the sauce.

Place a layer of half of the cooked noodles in a baking dish. Then spread half of the filling. Then place a layer of half of the sauce and half of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers in a same way. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake it at 375F for about 30-35 minutes. Let it stand for about 10 minutes before serving.

Recipe 3

Ingredients
1 lb fresh crab meat
1 lb cooked salad shrimp
1 package Lasagna noodles
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 tsp butter
3 cup milk
5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation
In a large pot, cook lasagna noodles in boiling salted water. Drain well. Preheat the oven to 350F. Melt margarine or butter in a medium size saucepan over medium heat. Then add flour to it and stir, until the flour becomes slightly brown. Then add milk with a continuous stirring and cook well, until the sauce becomes thick. Then add Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir it well. In a baking pan, spread a thin layer of white sauce, then a layer of cooked lasagna noodles. Then place of crabmeat, of shrimp and 1 cup mozzarella cheese over the layer of noodles. Repeat it three times and make such four layers. Cover the final layer with sauce and remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake it for about 45 minutes, until the top is brown.
